Zachary (Zach) Finkelstein is a Managing Partner. He has a background as a VC investor and operator primarily focused on emerging markets. Zach spent five years at Lumia Capital where he primarily focused on Lumia’s emerging market portfolio including such investments at Careem, CargoX, Instacarro, Pitzi, and Shedul.
More recently, Zach was the Vice President of Corporate Development at Careem where he oversaw the completion of four acquisitions, one divestment, and a $200M fundraising round. At Careem, Zach also played a role in the launch of Iraq and Sudan as well as Careem’s food delivery and payments businesses.
Prior to that, Zach worked in the Investment Banking division at Citigroup and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Zach earned a BA magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania where he was an editor of the Journal of International relations as well as a board member of the Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club. Zach was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in 2016. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Instacarro.
